Please give to the MLK Friends Annual Appeal The Annual Appeal is our largest fundraiser, and we can guarantee that your child - and every child in the school - will benefit from the funds raised for field trips, special events and projects like the school t-shirts, SplashMath app, cultural events like MLK Day and the Chinese New Year Celebration. We are an all-volunteer organization so 100% of your donation goes to our school (PayPal charges a small fee for collecting online donations). We encourage all families to donate the amount they feel comfortable donating. To donate you can: - donate online (click "Donate" at the top right of www.mlkfriends.com) - drop your donation off at the school's front desk in an envelope to the MLK Friends parent group - send your donation in your child's Friday folder in an envelope to the MLK Friends parent group We thank all the families who have already made donations! 2. Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. | Thu 1/19/17 + Fri 1/20/17 Join us to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On Thursday, 1/19/17, 6-8pm the Dr. MLKing School will present an evening concert. Please bring a dish from your culture to share at the potluck before the performance. On Friday 1/20/17 8am-10am come to school for a concert featuring students of the Dr. MLKing School (aka our children)! We are looking for volunteers to help serve birthday cake in honor of Dr. King to students after lunch in the cafeteria - please email mlkfriendsgroup[at] gmail[dot]com if you can assist. 3.
